Premiere: Peppermint Heaven Get In Festive Mood With New Single, ‘Christmas Day’

Yes it’s still September, and we’ve got Halloween ahead of us yet, but that’s not stopping Peppermint Heaven, who today release their new single, ‘Christmas Day’, via Megahit Records. The new track comes ahead of the release of eponymous album, which drops on October 29.

Of course, when Peppermint Heaven sing about ‘Christmas Day’, they’re not singing about the day itself, nor are they singing of Santa, snow, and presents – but rather it’s a metaphor about a better future than the life we’re living today. Whether that be about a time beyond Covid-19, or a greener future, is left up to the listener’s imagination, but what is certain is that their hope is for “A better time, a better place, where we can be face to face, and every day is like Christmas Day.”

The LA based production and songwriting duo have long been favourites of us here at EP, with their sound one we refer to often in reviews of other synthwave artists. Quite frankly, Peppermint Heaven go from strength to strength with each release, and ‘Christmas Day’ is no exception, the production values are as always top notch and slick, and while the track is nearly 3 and a half minutes long, the fast pace of the instrumentals makes it feel a lot shorter – giving the listener a teasing taste of Peppermint Heaven‘s quality, and a reason to hit replay over and over.

‘Christmas Day’ is out today 24 September through Megahit Records. Stream ‘Christmas Day’ on Spotify. You can find out more about Peppermint Heaven and their music online on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
