Shaheed and Dj Supreme – ‘Keep Climbing’ ft.  Angie King

Shaheed and Dj Supreme have been collaborating for twenty years and through their everlasting bond they’ve revitalised boom-bap rap and have been stalwarts of the scene in their hometown of Birmingham Alabama. Their latest single, ‘Keep Climbing’, featuring their long time friend Angie King, retains all the passion and dynamism that fans have come to know, love, and expect.

The music video for ‘Keep Climbing’ was shot at the historic Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, and sees the three jamming on the roof, and singing their forthright lyrics between the exhibits, themselves an exhibition of hope, strength, and unity. The song was originally from their debut 2013 album, ‘Knowledge, Rhythm, And Understanding’, but it’s every bit as relevant now as it was back then. Shaheed lays down the verses with a hard-hitting story of struggles with health, wealth, and the law, while Dj Supreme tells his story by way of fearless self-examination. Meanwhile, Angie King keeps the faith, all three struggling, yet striving and hustling, and never once giving up.
