The Imaginaries – ‘Revival’ And ‘Thinking ‘Bout You’

In the video for ‘Revival’, from duo The Imaginaries, Maggie McClure and Shane Henry play a pair of bank robbers in the Old West, who’ve tired of the nomadic lifestyle. They try and settle down to make an honest living, but nobody believes they can do it – especially not their constantly cigar chomping boss. Nonetheless, with quiet determination and a whole lot of talent, they manage to do it.

Maggie and Henry are a real life couple, and although the premise of the ‘Revival’ video is a fantasy – an imaginary, if you will – they’ve always stuck to their dreams, relying on their independence, ingenuity, talent, and their overwhelming faith in each other to get through it all. Their music career has been established on their own terms, and has seen their music featured on TV programmes across the US, on channels such as NBC, CBS, E!, and The Hallmark Channel, among others. Together, and as solo performers, they’ve shared stages with the likes of B.B. King, Etta James, Buddy Guy, Sara Bareilles, Walk Off The Earth, and Johnny Winter. Their sound is firmly rooted in American folk-rock and country, with crisp and radiant melodies, fiery instrumentals, and gorgeously tight harmonies.

The second video from The Imaginaries, ‘Thinking ‘Bout You’ sees McClure and Henry a bit more closer to their real life personas. Not criminals or even adventurers, they’re a couple of enthusiastic music makers, who are clearly very much in love – with each other, the countryside they live in, and the beautiful music they make together.
