Jedward have kept their fans entertained during the COVID-19 quarantine, which they had been spending in Los Angeles, with best friend, actress Tara Reid, during which time they were interviewed on ITV’s ‘ITV’s ‘Loose Women’. Now back in Dublin, John has uploaded an acoustic guitar cover of The Police classic, ‘Every Breath You Take’.
John had previously uploaded a version of the cover two years ago, but only to Twitter. This HD version, was performed with open strings, as opposed to the muted string method normally applied to the song.
Singing direct to his phone, and uploaded without any studio editing, the song highlights John’s crisp, clear vocals and mesmerising guitar playing.
The Police cover is the latest in a series uploaded to Jedward’s main YouTube channel, JedwardTV, and follows on from John’s cover of another classic song, U2’s ‘Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own’, which was released last week.
While in Los Angeles, John and Edward had been writing new songs, and making music videos for tracks from their 4th album, ‘Voice Of A Rebel’, which was released in June last year. They also participated in a Black Lives Matter march through their Hollywood neighbourhood. You can see videos on their Twitter account.
You can stream and download ‘Voice Of A Rebel’ here, and buy the CD from Jedward’s official website. They will be touring the UK this coming August, with tickets and further information available here.
Jedward can be found online on their official website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, and YouTube.
