The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Visit Tottenham Hotspur

The world-famous cartoon characters, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, joined us in the real world on August 6 to watch a little bit of football, visiting Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to watch Hotspur take on Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk (the former beating the latter, 5-1). This is one of several parts of a collaboration between the TMNT and Hotspur, who have partnered with Paramount to promote the iconic turtle quartet’s newest movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which debuted in cinemas last week, on the 2nd of August.

alice does computer music Releases Debut Album ‘Shoegaze 5G’

Following up her release of her latest single, ‘Coiled’, Alice Gerlach, better known as alice does computer music, released the accompanying piece – her debut album, ‘Shoegaze 5G’ – on streaming platforms on August 4th. The long-awaited album from the Chicago-based indie artist has been in the works for a significant time now, but we can finally see the fruits of that work take shape. Yesterday, on July 24th, the legendary country artist Pat Boone released a cover of one of the late Red Foley’s most classic songs, ‘Chattanoogie Shoeshine Boy’. Boone first covered the song on his 1956 release, ‘Howdy!’, during a time where a wide variety of other artists such as Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra also covered the hit song; now, two thirds of a century later, Boone seeks to pay homage to one of his most famous performances, while also honouring Foley’s legacy, with a cover of his father-in-law’s signature song, ‘Chattanoogie Shoeshine Boy’.
