Gary Roger Wimbush Gets Us Ready For Summer With His Joyful New Single, ‘Hola Coco Cola’

Set for release on the 8th of June, Gary Roger Wimbush’s new single, ‘Hola Coco Cola’ is going to be the one track we all have on our summer playlist.

‘Hola Coco Cola’ is available to pre-save here.

Bringing a retro vibe and combining it with modern pop sensibilities, ‘Hola Coco Cola’ is a playful, bright, and refreshing track from British singer-songwriter, Gary Roger Wimbush.

The track came about from the way Gary’s Colombian wife would greet him every morning. Rather than simply saying “good morning”, she says, “Hola Coco Cola”. Recorded in his home studio, in Alicante, Spain, it came together quite quickly, with the light hearted chorus with its silly, often personal lyrics, morphing into a fully formed song in just a single recording session.

Gary then sent the recording to his friend, Barry Banks, in the UK, who then mixed and mastered the track, resulting in a guitar-driven feel-good pop number, with a warmly inviting sound.

Singer-songwriter Gary grew up in East London and Essex, before moving to Alicante. He started playing classical guitar while still at school, leading him to playing with local bands, and performing at more than 1000 gigs across Europe and North America.
