Renaissance Rapper daFinchi Shows The Importance Of Knowing ‘Who You Are’

With a clever blend of wit and raw honesty, Bridgeport Connecticut rapper daFinchi puts a little bit of himself into every release. His latest drop, ‘Who You Are’, sees him double down on his already customary blend of confidence and authenticity, while he delivers bars about resilience and gratitude, and above all, staying true to yourself.

In ‘Who You Are’, daFinchi, lawyer by day and rapper by night, reflects on his grind, and, with clever wordplay, he delivers both a mantra and challenge to listeners and himself, with the hook, “you can’t deny who you are”.

In addition to this already captivating track, the music video for ‘Who You Are’ is a further reflection of daFinchi’s message of staying real and success well-earned. We see him as he leaves his home, with a cigar in hand, and beaming with confidence. Interspersed we see clips of billboards, sides of buses, his face looking out as a nod to his day job. It’s clear that hard work pays off, because there’s plenty of moments of play as well. We see, alongside shots of luxury cars and time by the pool, daFinchi is also dancing and playing with his kids, and he looks up, giving thanks for the the journey he’s taken and gratitude for being where he is now. It’s a celebration of success in its purest form, and a reminder that we must always stay true to who we are.
