andrew reed & the liberation Are ‘Crossing The Rubicon’ With Third And Final Track From Progressive Rock Trilogy

Finally, we reach the third instalment of andrew reed & the liberation’s Cezar trilogy. In ‘Crossing The Rubicon’, he has come, he has seen, and now, after crossing the Rubicon, the line of demarcation, he has conquered.

Although there is still the threat of civil war, Cezar is relaxed and unrestrained, he knows the worst is over. He speaks, “I am in command”. The music reflects his mood, with sweeping synths and harpsichord melodies uplifting the emotional weight of the journey, and giving Cezar a moment to breathe. He pauses to contemplate what he’s achieved, but then suddenly, everything erupts, and Cezar once more returns to the warrior he is, charging forward.

The music video, comprising the performances of the band, found footage, and animation, shows Cezar leading his troops, no longer lit in red, but this time, bright like the sun. Cezar is no longer just a leader, he’s now society’s “hope and strength”, leading us out of the darkness.
