LA Troubadour TT Captures The Essence Of Heartache In ‘Heal My Mind’

Weaving narratives of lost love, ghostly encounters, and mourning, ‘Heal My Mind’ is the third single from TT’s upcoming debut album, ‘Man On The Corner’.

The track is a beautiful and empowering commentary on the need to turn life’s challenges into something more positive, dealing with the subject of mortality with care and compassion.

Speaking of the track, TT says,

“I lost someone close to me. For a long time after their passing, I felt their presence stay with me – in my most vivid dreams, emotions, senses, and sometimes in physical encounters. Yet their loss was so hard to bear. ‘Heal My Mind’ is the story of such a feeling, one of deep loss coupled with a spiritual presence.”

The music video for ‘Heal My Mind’, directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts, serves as a vignette about a person’s life partner drowning, but returning to keep him company after death. Over time this proved too much for the person left behind, and the result is at once both tender, and gut-wrenching. Altogether it’s the perfect capture of TT’s beautiful song.

After the tragic loss from drowning, a man’s soulmate returns to him, desperate to communicate with him. He can sense her presence, and his mind shows him images, but he finds it impossible to truly see her, or communicate with her. Flashbacks to their wonderful romantic experiences, while she was still on earth, haunt him, but it causes such anguish and torment that he starts to lose his mind. He returns to the ocean – the site of their home and most treasured memories – but also that of her death. Pleading with her, praying that she stop haunting him, because it’s torturing him, she finally understands, and relinquishes her hold, returning to the afterlife.
