TT Bring A Message To Those Who Can Halt The Death Of The Planet In New Country/Rock Single And Video, ‘Let Us Breathe’

Los Angeles country/rock storyteller TT belts out a pulsating drum beat matched to raw guitar licks in his latest release, ‘Let Us Breathe’, the lead single from his debut album, ‘Man On The Corner’.

‘Let Us Breathe’ has a driving, dance-worthy sound, deftly blending country and rock, while crossing tentatively into mainstream pop. It brings with it a message about the need to save the Earth, and serves as a cry to action for those who insist on relentlessly destroying our planet.

When asked about the creation of both his debut album and lead single, ‘Let Us Breathe’, TT referred to a wide range of influences, spanning a variety of genres, but he added that sometimes, making the complex look easy, is the actual mark of achievement. He’s certainly done that with ‘Let Us Breathe’, matching intelligent, emotional, and above all, thought-provoking lyrics, to a thunderous rock arrangement, alongside TT’s single-note guitar lines. With all that, there’s an unmistakeable country undertone, which will take ‘Let Us Breathe’ to an even wider audience, instantly engaging. “The things we build up can at the same time destroy, and then all the prosperity we’ve created is, in fact, an illusion,” TT says. ” ‘Let Us Breathe’ is about climate change and a plea to those who can help stop it.” The new song couldn’t have been released at a more appropriate time, when we’re facing tense political division and international conflicts. With this, it could also be seen as a plea to take a moment for some stillness and sanity in this digital world of information overload, that neglects the actual, natural world we live in. It’s no good having all this modern technology if we’re destroying the very planet we live on. There’s no Planet B.

The music video brings to life the song, calling to mind the glory days of MTV. We see a TV flickering to life on a desk that’s covered in rubbish, and the screen shows a montage of modern life – over-crowded, over-built, and over-saturated. The band comes into view, with a backdrop of powerplants, trees stricken by wildfires, and a sea of plastic bottles, discarded. The band plays on, surrounded by fire and smoke, while TT walks through a scene of ruined cities, and tsunamis. “What happens when the world has lost its zen?” TT asks. “We’ve got to find a new horizon.”
