Janet Devlin Releases Ethereal New Single ‘Red Flag’

Are red flags in a relationship such a bad thing? In the mesmeric new single, Janet Devlin believes the opposite, embracing the warning signs that come with a flawed partner.

In this heartfelt country-rock ballad, Devlin dismissed the idea of dating someone who is ‘good’ for her, manifesting a relationship where emotions are transparent. Recalling classic Fleetwood Mac and traditional country-rock, the track is a warm and reflective soundscape that perfectly accompanies its lyrics. ‘I tried to find a reason to run away,’ she states, evoking sincere passion with her emotionally-fuelled vocals.

Devlin’s vibrant background in folk and quirky pop shines through, showcasing her evolution into a master at capturing Nashville’s musical essence. Co-written with Jamie Sellars (Ed Sheeran) and Kaity Rae (GIRLI), “Red Flag” is an ethereal highlight from her highly-anticipated upcoming album Emotional Rodeo, set to be released on November 15th.
