It Don’t Matter In The End: Kimberly York Sets It Straight With ‘People Don’t Like It’

Available to stream and download now, ‘People Don’t Like It’ is the newest single to drop from Kimberly York’s latest album, ‘FUN’.

Kimberly York tells it like it is with ‘People Don’t Like It’. She’s shooting straight down the line, spitting some home truths about what other people think, and all the while telling the listener that it doesn’t matter a damn thing what they think – just be yourself and do your own thing: life is short, you may as well live it the way you want to.

And while she’s doing this, Kimberly’s band are giving it their all – doing their thing – with a twangy bluegrass country vibe that will have you swinging your partner round and round. I might be getting a little carried away here, but hey! Why not! If people don’t like it, then, tough.

York’s vocals are just exquisite; she’s really got the perfect pipes for a country song, and she’s a dab hand at a pop tune too. I may be so bold as to suggest she’s the perfect successor to the Mighty Dolly: she has a gift for telling a story and doesn’t hold back in what she wants to say.

“It’s between you and your soul what you do to grow old” – these are lyrics to live by. In the end, it doesn’t matter what you do, people aren’t going to like it anyway.

‘People Don’t Like It’ is out now. You can find out more about Kimberly York and her music online on her official website, Facebook, and Instagram.
