Building on the success of her hypnotic release ‘Afterglow,’ singer-songwriter and dedicated women’s rights activist Shab is ready to offer more with her upcoming track “Swerve.” Set to hit the airwaves on September 27th, the song is expected to bring a darker, more alluring edge to her energised take on electronic world pop.
Co-composed by Damon Sharpe (Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Kylie Minogue), SHAB, and JHart (Justin Bieber, Kygo, Sabrina Carpenter), ‘Swerve’ invites listeners into a whirlwind of newfound romance and captivating rhythms. This precedes the magic of ‘Afterglow,’ which provided a majestic reflection on passion and the bliss of encounters with loved ones.
Shab was originally labelled the ‘breakout star of the pandemic’ in 2020, which was followed by a series of breakthrough singles and an established lasting impression on the pop landscape. This included 2023’s hit ‘VOODOO’ featuring Fat Joe, which sky-rocketed to the Top 40 of the Rhythmic and Pop Charts. The artist has made her mark with a fusion of captivating lyrics, soft vocals and irresistible beats, and ‘Swerve’ is set to prove she’s here to stay.
