Jah Destiny Speaks Out About Injustice With ‘Nah Cry’

Jah Destiny has another beautiful reggae track with the deeply emotional, ‘Nah Cry’.

‘Nah Cry’ sheds light on the injustice faced by innocent people when they’re wrongly accused of crimes, and condemned by those in power. With deeply emotive lyrics, Jah Destiny highlights the turmoil and agony of those falsely imprisoned, and stressing the anguish that they and their loved ones experience. The protagonist pleads with his parents not to cry for him, despite the harshness of the circumstances he’s experiencing. The reggae rhythms are the perfect fit for the theme of the song.

The music video for ‘Nah Cry’ continues with the story of the song, with Jah Destiny playing the part of a man wrongfully accused of robbery, and, after being unjustly found guilty in court, subsequently imprisoned. We follow his life behind bars, as he sends out heartfelt messages to his parents, and asks them not to be sad for him. It’s as deeply moving as the song.
