Toronto’s Powerhouse Fellowship Soul Choir Reassure Us That ‘God Is Good’ With New Release Featuring Shawn Cotterell

Brought together in1986, Powerhouse Fellowship Soul Choir is an age-diverse group of men and women who love to sing together. With Shawn Cotterell directing them, the choir has won awards and performed around Canada, accompanying other well-known singers and ensembles such as Stevie Wonder, Chrisette Michelle, David Foster, and the Clark Sisters.

Powerhouse Fellowship Soul Choir’s latest album, ‘REFLECTIONS’, is set for release via Impact Gospel Recordings and IndieBlu Music, a division of the MNRK Nashville label, and their new single, ‘God Is Good’, takes a look at why they ultimately sing together, and as one, they thank God for what they have been given.

Proclaiming their faith through song, Powerhouse Fellowship Soul Choir recognise all the good God has allowed into their lives, and their gift in return is praising his work with song. With multi-layered harmonies, created by a range of different voice groups, they join forces as one family serving God, in a celebration of being children of God and thanking him for bringing life to them. From time to time they allow choir director Shawn Cotterell to sing the lead, but the rest of the group join him in praising God the whole while.

The music video for ‘God Is Good’ is not just a showcase of their incredible voices, but also one of the district of Scarborough, in Toronto, Ontario. We see the local train station, sky scrapers, and people going about their lives. The choir is seen singing and moving in harmony; smiling and raising their arms heavenward, living proof of God’s blessings.
