Lan Lawd Brings Us Reggae Vibes In His New Pop Rap Track, ‘So Good’, Featuring Nicko Rebel

Raised in St Lucia by his music teacher mother, singer-songwriter Nelson Serieux, performing under the name Lan Lawd, brings a Caribbean flavour to his sound.

A multi-instrumentalist whose inspiration comes from not just his homeland, but also his experiences around the world, he moved to New York, and then Miami, after winning the Best New Artist award in a nationwide competition in 2010. Lan Lawd met Grammy winning Jamaican producer Nicko Rebel, soon after arriving in Florida, and the pair hit it off immediately, becoming firm friends and frequent collaborators.

Lan Lawd joins forces with Nicko Rebel once more, on ‘So Good’, an incredibly danceable track, ripe for remixing. With Caribbean-style beats layered over a sultry guitar, Nicko Rebel sets the scene for Lan Lawd’s flawless flow to call us onto the dance floor.

The music video for ‘So Good’ was shot at St Lucia’s iconic Irie Bar, augmented by choreography from Mind Of Xavier and Le pazz. St Lucian dancers and models come together on the dance floor alongside Lan Lawd and Nicko Rebel, in an infectious sequence of sumptuous scenes.
