Earlier this month, R&B singer and rapper 6lack released his newest album, ‘Since I Have A Lover’, on all major streaming platforms. Now, he has worked with German sound wellness company Endel to recreate the album as two different soundscapes. These soundscapes were made to let the listener relax and draw inspiration from the music, while also furthering the idea of Endel’s technology, an AI soundscape creation tool, to a wider audience worldwide.
The Baltimore-born, Atlanta-raised artist has come a long way since he first signed with Flo Rida’s IMG in 2011. Releasing his debut ‘Free 6lack’ in 2016 and the top 10 Billboard hit R&B album ‘East Atlanta Love Letter’ in 2018, 6lack has already made his mark on the industry, collaborating with famous artists such as Future and J. Cole. Earlier this year, on March 24th, he released his latest project, the experimental release, ‘Since I Have A Lover’. The album has already been a success in its short time since release, but now 6lack seeks to make it even better, utilising Endel’s experimental soundscape technology to deliver a whole new listening experience. He released the all-new ‘SIHAL (Endel Sleep Soundscape)’ on Spotify on July 10th.
The album features 4 tracks from the original album, cut up into several parts to make a 15-track, 45-minute album. It retains parts of 6lack’s original sound while making a brilliant soundscape to accompany it. As the title of the album describes, it’s also perfect for falling asleep to while you listen and take all the sound in. This is 6lack’s most experimental work yet, but it is still pleasant to listen to, so don’t be afraid to try out something new by listening to the album today.
