Vancouver Alt Country Singer Songwriter Geoff Gibbons Captures A Carefree Moment With New Single, ‘Feet Out The Window’

Released on March 30, ‘Feet Out The Window’, by Vancouver’s Geoff Gibbons, is a retro-soaked track that blends Americana, Folk, and Alt-Country into an instant classic.

A prolific artist, known for both his solo work and with his other projects, indie folk duo, KasÄ“oGems, and Southern Rock band New Yank Yorkies, Geoff’s latest single is instantly familiar-sounding, and has been produced in the style of the likes of Jimmy Webb, Fred Neil, and Danny O’Keefe, giving it a classic feel that could have been written 40 years ago, but is at the same time clearly contemporary.

‘Feet Out The Window’ calls to mind Nilsson’s ‘Everybody’s Talkin’, as well as the afore-mentioned Jimmy Webb’s ‘Wichita Lineman’. The laid back track is just one of many from Gibbons that has been written about the theme of “dreaming about the freedom of the open road”.

“The song was born after a conversation with a friend who had recently gone through a tough marriage break up…wishing to remember his former partner in the best of their time together.”
