Up And Coming Popstar ADVM Releases New Single And Video, ‘WEEKEND’

Originally from the boondocks of rural Quebec but now living in Vancouver, ADVM (pronounced Adam) has released what will soon be your favourite song, ‘WEEKEND’.

Teenage Adam spent most of his time playing his guitar, strumming metal chords, and generally feeling like he didn’t fit in with his French-speaking peers in rural Quebec. Once he’d moved to Vancouver however (the V in his performance name is in honour of his adopted home town), he really felt a part of somewhere, and soon started to teach himself music production, and uploading tracks to SoundCloud.

This led to a few songs being heard by ADVMs mentor to be, Canadian songwriter, Nick Clark, who creates under the name of CLVRK. He put ADVM through a rigorous songwriting bootcamp, and got him in touch with PUSH management. Now, with a team behind him and a ton of original songs in his portfolio, ADVM is set to take over not just Canada, and North America, but the world.

‘Weekend’ opens with a funky guitar riff, running over a groovy beat that will have you dancing from the very first note. As soon as you hear ADVMs vocals you’ll find it impossible to resist playing ‘Weekend’ over and over – his lyrics are undeniably catchy and you’ll be singing along before you even realise.

The song is unapologetically raunchy and suggestive, and the video, directed by R. Malcolm Jones, is just as fun. We see ADVM waking up from a party, ready to go do it all over again. He hops in his Tesla to spread the word about his new party, having also sent his parents out of town for the weekend. He’s got his eyes on one lady, and the whole party is just so he can have his chance. It’s hard to say how much is happening in ADVMs head and how much is reality; but at the end of the clip, his parents return home, and ADVM is nowhere to be seen.
