There’s A Rumbling In The Foothills Of The Ozarks With LAN LAW’s New Country Single And Video, ‘Hillbilly Legal’

Taking the first 3 letters of each of their names, brothers Lance Curtis and Lawson Wayne are LAN LAW, and their new single, ‘Hillbilly Legal’, is a country anthem for the ages.

Lance, who was born and raised in Arkansas, started playing the country classics of Alan Jackson, George Strait, and Johnny Cash alongside his Grandpa Gage and Uncle Shannon from a young age, and in so doing developed a talent for coming up with country phrases and creating catchy riffs that became ear-worm anthems of rural and blue-collar life. Meanwhile younger brother Lawson was in Nashville, where he was making his own music, drumming along wherever he could make a rhythm, whether it be a cajon or a car seat. Eventually he progressed to adding some attitude too his brother’s songs with percussion and backing vocals.

Together, now styled as LAN LAW, they’ve been rocking stages across the South of the US, and their singles have caught the eye of multi-Grammy and Emmy Award-winning producer, Jamie Tate, as well as landing them a record deal with Kent Wells, best known as Dolly Parton’s producer.

LAN LAWs latest single, ‘Hillbilly Legal’, is a tale full of pride, country guts, and a life lived on the edge. Lance howls his story over his brother’s thrumming percussion and his own guitar, and together they paint a picture of what means the most to them. Lawson is even given his own verse, which sees him singing of an outlaw origin story, thus marking him as a singer and storyteller in his own right.

The music video for ‘Hillbilly Legal’ keeps it in the family as well, being written, directed, and shot by the brothers themselves, as well as their parents. It serves as a window into the life of LAN LAW, and scene by scene we see the brothers swear their loyalty to God, speak of their life on the fringes of the law, and above all, their redneck pride.
