Alchemist Teearns returns with signature dark sound on their new single, ‘Like Moses’. Out now, you can stream and download it here.
Almost disturbing, the track reminds the listener that we have immense power within us, no less so than Alchemist Teearns. Using growls and groans, and quite guttural vocals, the artist tells a story of overcoming hardships, however impossible it might seem to defeat them.
Speaking from their own point of view, Alchemist Teearns compares their struggle and determination to Moses’ parting of the Red Sea, in the Old Testament of the Bible.
“..like Moses I always overcome what life throws at me no matter how turbulent the waves get”.
‘Like Moses’ serves up lyrics such as, “I spit and make it move like waves and Moses, They want take me under, with the waves but I just stay floating”, and in so doing, Alchemist Teearns almost perfectly conveys the feeling of almost drowning, but still managing to keep their head above water.
The experimental track isn’t necessarily going to appeal to everyone, but for fans of Alchemist Teearns, ‘Like Moses’ is certainly something to get their teeth into.
