There’s quite a few artists that we write about over and over again on Essentially Pop. EDM/Pop artists Neon Dreams are among them, with us having covered 4 of their singles since 2017.
One thing that all of Neon Dreams’ singles have in common is that they compel the listener to get up and move about. Even the most laid back of us is unable to resist the vibrancy of their sound, and their latest track, ‘ITS ALL GOOD’, is no exception, with lead vocalist Frank Kadillac singing of the experience, “I don’t wanna dance, but you’re making me dance”. While Frank may well be speaking of his dream partner, or the mood of the night, or his Neon Dreams partner, Adrian Morris, ‘ITS ALL GOOD’ is certainly a track that will light up the room when the play button is pressed.
Every Neon Dreams track is filled with positivity and happiness; the Juno Award winning duo from Halifax, Nova Scotia, have made it their mission to do so. But none of their previous releases have quite so tangibly brought the good vibes to their sound as much as ‘ITS ALL GOOD’. They pay tribute to the joys of getting swept away: in love, in good feeling, in great times – it’s evident in every note, every chord, every beat.
Of course,, fans and regular readers of our articles about them will know that, while they make Halifax their home, they have a strong connection with South Africa, which has only grown stronger ever since. Initially when their 2019 single, ‘Life Without Fantasies’ became a platinum best seller in that country, and then after they toured in 2021, and collaborated with Ubuntu superstar Mthandazo Gatya. The video for ‘ITS ALL GOOD’, which you can watch below, sees the pair return to South Africa, where the weather is glorious. They’re found outside a drive-in hamburger restaurant, inside a capacious bar, and walking along gorgeous beaches. As they travel, a dance party spontaneously erupts, and we don’t blame them – we’re having a party here too!
