Singer/songwriter Belbett was born and raised in Venezuela, and has built a loyal fanbase for his Latin music. His latest single, ‘Bandolera’, is a reggaeton track that tells the story of a relationship between a power couple.
Sung in Spanish, ‘Bandolera’ sees Belbett trying to win back his lady love, compare them to bandits; the lyrics “Y si te vienes conmigo Tú mi Bandolera y Yo seré tu bandido a donde vayas te sigo” translate into English as “And if you come with me You my Bandolera and I will be your bandit wherever you go I follow you” – he sees teh pair of them as being on the same level, the ultimate “partners in crime”.
The rhythms of ‘Bandolera’ will get your hips moving on the dance floor, as you lose yourself in the music; despite not knowing any Spanish, it’s impossible to resist the addictive chorus. This is furthered by the accompanying music video, which you can watch below:
So far, Belbett has released six singles, with his last single, ‘Cortamons la Semana’ amassing more than 12k Spotify streams on Spotify and over 90k YouTube views. Since its release in May, ‘Bandolera’ has already garnered more than 20.5K streams on Spotify alone, cementing Belbett’s position in the latin urban/reggaeton scene.
