Project213 Has ‘Personality For Miles’ And We’re Here For It

Straight out of Boise, Idaho, Project213 bring an intentional authenticity and a metaphysical approach to songwriting in their new single, ‘Personality For Miles’.

Jared Hallock’s songwriting is nothing if not quirky, and it would be putting it mildly to say that he merely touches the avant-garde with this track – the reality is that he doesn’t touch so much as grab it with both hands and embraces it with a rich, warm, and psychedelic hug. Unconventional? Yes. Tongue-in-cheek? Definitely – especially when coupled with the music video.,

A first listen of ‘Personality For Miles’ could possibly wish the song ended sooner than it does; but it’s certainly a grower, and we implore that you give it at least a second, if not a third spin.

This song celebrates our insecurities, and with its deconstructed drum solo and the languid storytelling, it serves as a nod to the weirdos; to the people who let their personality shine for miles.

The clip for ‘Personality for Miles’ tells the story of the kind of jealousy that happens on dance floors. There’s prom-style lighting, balloons, and a punch bowl, as well as a dance battle (of course there is) between the moustachioed protagonist, played by April Matson, and love interest, Alexa Bowen. Naturally there’s also a competitor for Alexa’s love, in the form of Scott Grady. Who will be the ultimate victor? Watch and find out!
