Drawing comparisons to Billie Eilish and Hayley Williams, RAEL8 is an up and coming singer whose new single, ‘The White Room’ is extremely relatable, and should appeal to a wide array of listeners. You can pre-save ‘The White Room’ here.
‘The White Room’ was originally called called, ‘Requiem’, and came to RAEL8 in a dream. She changed the name to reflect the imagery she saw in her dream, which saw her follow her soulmate into a white room. An edgy pop track, there are many rock elements woven into it, and it was RAEL8’s intention for it to be interpreted as art.
RAEL8’s name is derived from that of an angel, which fell out of a deck of cards, and the number 8, which is silent, signifies the number of letters in her legal name. The overall result is an intertwining of the two sides of her identity.
Although ‘The White Room’ is the first of RAEL8’s songs to be released on major streaming platforms, she has previously performed as a part of a charity remix of Big Zuu’s ‘Great To Be’, and she considered this to be one of her biggest achievements to date.
RAEL8 first started making music towards the end of 2020, when she realised that it had a healing power for herself, and she then wanted to share it with the world. We’re really pleased that she decided to do this, and look forward to what she releases next!
