ellehearted Releases Debut Album, ‘Ex Communicado’

‘Ex Communicado’ is the debut album from London artist, ellehearted, and features 11 original songs.

Back when she was known as Brittany, ellehearted completed a PhD in Cancer Research, and despite establishing herself in her career, sought out music as a way to express herself emotionally, and to provide release and healing. Speaking of her artistic process, by which she freed herself of the inner pain which had tormented her for most of her life, ellehearted said,

“I felt that art was the only way to put those stories outside of myself.”

ellehearted’s sound is breathy new age pop, with lyrics that tell a story, sharing her innermost thoughts and opinions. Her songs are immediately likeable and relatable, and her dreamy vocals are augmented by a bassline that meanders its way through the entire album.

‘Ex Communicado’ sees ellehearted take her artistic inspiration from Lana Del Rey, as well as some of her favourite Brazilian artists. She finds catharsis in her music, and in turn, we the listener do too.

‘Ex Communicado’ is out now, and can be streamed on Soundcloud, Spotify, and Apple Music. You can find out more about ellehearted online on Facebook, and Instagram.
