Out today, 15 October, I Feel Better Alone’ is the new album from singer-songwriter Senior. Written from a place of anxiety, the record is both emotive and inspiring, and includes 16 tracks with a new age, chill wave vibe.
‘I Feel Better Alone’ is a concept album that sees Senior go from an anxiousness to feelings of more positivity. His translucent vocals are layered over heavily produced electronic instrumentals, with the effect being a sound that completely covers the listener. Reminiscent of Frank Ocean at times, and Drake and The Weeknd in others, Senior nonetheless overall has a sound all of his own, and the thematic result is one of love and peace.
Highlights of the album include track 14, ‘Double The Henny’, which sees Senior range from his electronic pop style to a hip hop/RnB flavour. It wouldn’t be difficult to imagine Justin Bieber singing the song.
Senior uses his life as his inspiration, it’s up and down nature providing material which he translates into lyrics and music which resonate with his listeners, no matter where they are located in the world. ‘I Feel Better Alone’ follows on from the success of his previously released singles, which have enabled him to have a wide international following on both social media and Spotify.
