Let’s get this straight from the start – 5ive Ft Giant isn’t only 5 foot tall – he’s 5 foot 2 inches. But he’s no less a giant, and has defied all the odds which had set themselves as barriers to his advancement. Coming from Knoxville Tennessee didn’t help either, it’s not really a place where rappers thrive; but nonetheless, 5ive Ft Giant travelled about and met new people who supported him and helped him along every phase of his journey. He seized every opportunity that was presented to him, and made sure he was well grounded on a foundation of hope and positivity.
New single, ‘Let’s Dance’, takes its inspiration from 5ive Foot Giant’s wife, who is very much his muse for many of his tracks. The video takes place in the current situation, with all characters wearing masks when they go out, and keeping their social gatherings at a safe intimate number. Featuring Mr Chandler, the new video was made during quarantine and includes only those people in 5’s life – his close family and friends. In the video we him and his wife arrive at “the spot”, and he serenades her with words that she herself helped create. ‘Let’s Dance’ is romantic and tender, and a friendly reminder that there is no better time than now to cut a rug and share a groove with your nearest and dearest.
