In a collaboration with guest vocalists AR 65 and Ollie Sloan, ‘Love Is Taboo’ is the first single from Iurie Sula’s debut album.
A pop song with electronic elements in the instrumentation, and an upbeat dance tempo, the compelling hooks draw the listener in right from the start, with the introduction a swelling wave of keyboards – while telling the story of a forbidden love. Ollie Sloan’s vocals are smooth and laid-back, yet there’s an underlying sense of resignation to the fate that comes to all taboo love.
Now based in London, producer Iurie Sula is originally from Moldova, a country well-known for its many and varied musical artists. Iurie is a trained violinst, and composed the score for theatre production, ‘I’m Woman’, back in 2018. As a producer he takes his influence from the likes of Zedd, and Carla’s Dreams.
AR65 are a new London-based band, while Ollie Sloan is based in Brighton, and has been writing and performing his own music since the age of 11.
