Freya Ridings Shares Reworked Version Of ‘Love Is Fire’ Plus New Video

Freya Ridings made a huge breakthrough when her Platinum-selling hit ‘Lost Without You’ became a regular fixture in the Top 10 towards the end of 2018, as it hit a total of 200 million streams. And Freya’s career has remained stratospheric throughout 2019. She scored a second sizeable hit with the Silver-certified ‘Castles’ ahead of her self-titled debut album which shot into the charts at #3.

Freya was also tipped by numerous high profile names as varied as Taylor Swift, Florence Welch and Richard Quinn. Freya Ridings shares a stunning new version of her fan favourite track “Love Is Fire”, originally taken from her UK Top 3 self-titled album which has since racked up over 400M global streams.

A highlight of Freya’s live shows (she’s just wrapped up a UK tour and has sold over 65K tickets in total), ‘Love Is Fire’ is a rousing declaration of love’s life-affirming power . The track also comes with a gorgeous video, which you can view here:

Having now had over 300 million album streams, 1.6 million single sales and just completed her biggest UK headline tour of her career, which culminated at London’s Eventim Apollo last Friday, today Freya Ridings shares a new version of the fan favourite you can listen here.

‘Love Is Fire’ is a declaration of love and the power it can have on you. The song has so much going on, the soft beat of the drums and the soft acoustics, showing off Freya’s voice, which is soothing and filled with emotion. There is a soothing melody behind her vocals, tying the song in together. Freya’s voice is elegant – soul-like even – with the intimate song a perfect match for her vocal range.

Freya co-wrote all of the songs featured on her self-titled debut album with the sadly departed songwriter Busbee. Freya expanded on her thoughts about ‘Love Is Fire’ in a track-by-track feature with Apple Music.

Speaking about ‘Love With Fire’ she said:

“We open the live set with this song and have done for five years. Every time I hear that guitar, I feel adrenaline in my system, my heart going, and I know I’m ready to play. Once I started playing live shows, I understood that you want a show that feels like a journey. Having the opportunity to write with that in mind but also stay true to how I’m feeling at the moment has been an interesting cocktail of emotions.”

Freya completes a remarkable year by playing two shows as a special guest to Hozier, who she will join at Dublin’s 3Arena on December 10th and 11th. Freya will then begin 2020 with a headline tour of mainland Europe which covers nine countries.
