Performing at regular concerts and honing a blossoming music career is a lot of work. Doing it while completing your A-Levels is nigh-on impossible, but Katie Kittermaster has done both successfully – and has a new EP coming your way to prove it.
Coming Home at Dawn, the debut offering from newcomer Katie Kittermaster, is a beautifully serene and cosy five-track EP from this singer-songwriter who has already been hailed as “the female Ed Sheeran”. Kittermaster wrote these songs over the past few years and has already been the winner of the UK Songwriting Contest and Commonwealth Song of the Year for her self-penned track, ‘T-Shirt’, all about the misplaced hope that salvaging a relationship is possible.
It’s this sort of honest lyrical content which sets Kittermaster apart from her peers. It’s unusual to find such an astute voice in the pop world today, and even more unusual from such a young talent.
To celebrate the arrival of this must-hear EP, Kittermaster has just embarked on a tour of the UK and Europe with none other than X Factor sensation Lucy Spraggan, a fellow outspoken songstress and first-ever contestant to have scored a Top 40 hit before the show even aired. Catch Katie Kittermaster performing all over the continent with a confidence beyond her years and listen to her EP when it’s released on the 1st of November.
