‘You’ is the third release from Australian electronic/pop artist, Zacharria. Out now on Claudia eRecords, ‘You’ follows on from his previou singles, ‘Living Without You’, and ‘It’s Been So Long’, the latter of which climbed to the top spot in the Swiss Dance Charts, as well as the top 50 in the DJ Charts in Austria.
Hailing from Adelaide, but now relocated to Sydney, Zacharria got into his music in his early teens, and has developed an introspective style which sees him examine deeply love, loss, and standing up for what he truly believes in. Zacharria describes the songwriting process as,
“writing songs is a way to put my life experiences into 3-minute time capsules which make you move but also make you think.”
Following his initial success with ‘It’s Been So Long’, Zacharria teamed up with TOP50 DJ, Thomas Godel, and created a remix of his single, ‘Living Without You’, which saw similar chart success.
Zacharria, who cites his influences as including Frank Ocean, Lauryn Hill, and Duke Dumont, has a soulful which is reminiscent of fellow Australian, Guy Sebastian, and combines emotive lyrics with a smooth tropical beat. ‘You’ is the first of a range of singles to be released by Zacharria during this year.
