Colossal Boss – ‘Thinkin’ And Drinkin”

Colossal Boss is ‘Thinkin’ And Drinkin” in their new single, with soaring guitar riffs, tight instrumentals, and raw organic vocals. The band has spanned over a decade, and takes among their influences the likes of Aerosmith, Black Crowes, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and U2, melting them all into a great big blend of hard rock, classic rock, soul, and a tiny touch of country.

First formed in Seattle, Washington, under the name of Midstokke, Colossal Boss felt a reinvention was needed, and so gave themselves a new name. Front man Steven Douglas doubles up on mesmerisingly powerful vocals and equally impressive harmonica, while Ted Norris plays guitar, Fraser Midstokke on bass, and Cory Olsen is on drums.

Their latest single, ‘Thinkin’ And Drinkin’ ‘, has a video which shows them drinking until they make themselves lovesick. Shot in their local hometown bar, Bert’s Tavern, and directed by AK Romero, the focus is on a gorgeous blonde woman, whose not so secret admirers are totally taken by her from the moment they see her in the parking lot.

The band try to control their passions by drinking some shots, and, intoxicated with both vodka and a whole lot of love, they turn their fantasy into a reality, with a friendly toast. The object of their affections accepts their invitation, and thus starts a beautiful friendship.
