Originally from Puerto Rico but now living in The Bronx, G Swavey has recently released his latest single, ‘2AM Thoughts’, a fusion of rap, R&B, and latin music, giving him a unique sound.
Hip Hop artist G Swavey takes inspiration from his favourite artist Tony Lanez, and started making music in his friend’s basement, in the closet, with an app on his phone and headphones. He strives to create music that the listeners can relate to, and has worked hard to pay for the equipment and facilities he needs in order to improve his music.
‘2AM Thoughts’ is about those thoughts we all have late at night, or early in the morning – where we think about everything that’s going on in our lives, and when we try to solve all the problems in the world. The 2AM Thought in particular G Swavey writes about is a girl who was always on his mind. He couldn’t work out if she was a help or a hindrance, and the essence of the track is to never lose yourself, in your efforts to please others.
