MC YOGI & Matisyahu Illuminate The Path With ‘Heaven Is Here’

MC Yogi has had an interesting life so far. The hip hop artist has gone from living in a group home for at-risk youth, to becoming known as yoga’s modern day ambassador to the west. He’s on a mission to spread the word about yoga to large, mainstream audiences, and the gorgeous song, ‘Heaven Is Here’, from his ‘Only Love Is Real’ album, is just one of the ways he’s going about doing it.

MC Yogi recently released his first book, ‘Spiritual Graffiti’ through HarperOne, and will be conducting a book tour across the USA throughout 2018, as well as a world tour where he will be both teaching and performing.

Feted by the likes of Jason Mraz, who said,

“Behind the music and off the mat — MC YOGI’s story of grit and graffiti reminds us that yoga meets us where we are and introduces us to who we are”

‘Heaven Is Here’, featuring Matisyahu, is a stunningly beautiful song with a gorgeous video to match. Miles away from what you may think yoga music would sound like, it’s radio-friendly pop with a very catchy chorus and strong instrumentation, including trumpets, keys, guitars and a steady rhythm. The video shows MC Yogi and Matisyahu singing about how heaven is here when the mind is clear – simple, and very easy to understand. “Open up the path, draw the mind back.”

MC Yogi’s most recent album, ‘Ritual Mystical’, featuring East Forest, made history by entering at the #1 spot on the electronic charts on its release in August 2016. ‘Only Love Is Real’, from which comes ‘Heaven Is Here’, debuted at #12 Billboard Heatseekers and #24 on the iTunes Hiphop charts. In addition to Mtisyahu the album also has a guest spot from Trevor Hall.

MC Yogi is the #1 Yoga instructor in the world and has performed and taught yoga at the White House. ‘Spiritual Graffiti’ is out now through Amazon. You can find out more about MC Yogi online on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and his official website. ‘Heaven Is Here’ is available to stream and download from iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify.
