TruVez ft Akevius – ‘Amerika’s NightMare’

Tavares Stephens, performing as TruVez, was born in Statesboro Georgia, and then moved with his family to Mainz/Weisbaten, Germany with his family, as his step-father was in the military. Tavares learned to speak German fluently by the age of 8, and was able to translate for his parents. Life in Germany taught him to be observant, and the young Tavares developed an appreciation for music through his step-father’s love for jazz, blues, and R&B.

TruVez has a near perfect memory, and as a result is able to freestyle over tracks he’s not heard before, and adapt the flow instantly. He comes together with Akevius on ‘Amerika’s NightMare’ in order to express their shared feelings towards some of the brutality and injustice that has been displayed in the past and in the present. ‘Amerika’s NightMare’ has a powerful and uplifting message, touching the heart of all of us with a heart which seeks an end to injustice.
