A special concert will be held at Farnborough Town Football Club on Saturday January 16, 2016 to raise funds for the Forward 4 Wiz Trust. F4WT was set up in memory of Darren “Wiz” Brown, frontman of Farnborough band, Mega City 4. Mega City 4 toured the world several times, playing to hundreds of thousands of people, and released 8 albums: never losing sight of their punk roots. F4WT exists to provide advice and support to bands and individual artists, by way of mentoring and training, contributing financially where it’s needed most.
The concert will feature Farnborough band, I Plead Irony, and Deadcuts, from London. Lawrence Arnold and Rauf Jordan, from I Plead Irony, were both in Wiz’s last band, before his untimely passing in 2006.
Deadcuts feature Mark Keds, whose former band, Senseless Things, were close friends and touring partners of Mega City 4 from the late 80s to mid 90s.
Advance tickets for the event are available from wegottickets.com for £7. Tickets will be £9 on the door.
