Kevin Godley Precedes December Release Of ‘Muscle Memory’ With Individual Tracks Out Every Two Weeks

We last spoke with Kevin Godley back in 2017, on the launch of his project, and first solo album, ‘Muscle Memory’. Set back somewhat by the demise of PledgeMusic, he is finally about to release the album, with the help of record label The state51 Conspiracy.

Godley asked for musicians to submit instrumental pieces, to which he and was sent a whopping 286 tracks. Eventually he was able to whittle them down to 11, writing for the final tracklisting on the album. He then took the tunes and wrote the melodies and lyrics, and turned them into songs.

The composers’ identities have been concealed, in order to show no favouritism to well-known names, and to put all on a level playing field. The focus is on Godley and his lyrics, as he covers such topics as gun control, societal unrest, racism and questions regarding political correctness.

Set for release in December, Godley and state51 are releasing one track from the album every two weeks, starting with ‘Expecting A Message’ on July 16. See below for full release details.
