‘DSP (Radio Edit)’ was originally written by Jules ‘Nova’s husband and producer, back in the late 1990s, and started as a piano piece, created in a practice room at the Gateway School Of Music. The initials stand for ‘Dark Secluded Place’, and with its new arrangement, it’s been transformed into a compelling alternative rock track, which explores trauma, mental health, and the search for inner peace.
Recording in their home studio, Jules ‘Nova’s powerful vocals are fully able to express the deep introspection of the song, which unfolds as an internal monologue, where the mind is free to rest, away from all the pressures of the outside world.
A classically trained singer, who studied at GSMD London, and further developed her style through contemporary training at Vocaltech, Jules ‘Nova’s music is enriched with the feeling of a live performance. She creates her work in her home studio in Eryri, North Wales, where she collaborates closely with her husband on production while also writing her own music and lyrics.
