A hypnotic track, ‘Give In To Me’ channels the likes of Portishead and PJ Harvey, with its alternative art-pop sounds both atmospheric and deeply intimate.

Turton came up with ‘Give In To Me’ from a lyrical idea that she further developed alongside producer, Kav Temperley, who took the track down a different direction to its original pop vibes, imbuing it with a trip-hop sound. The pair had been reminiscing about time spent in the UK, and so the resulting sense of nostalgia was incorporated into the song.

Australian Turton is an alternative artist and songwriter, whose influences include the above-mentioned Portishead, and PJ Harvey, as well as Massive Attack. Her songs often begin with words, an idea, or a feeling, before she comes up with the music to match.

‘Give In To Me’ is available to stream and download here. You can find out more about Turton and her music online on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Spotify.
