South Wales four-piece The Now have announced the release of their highly anticipated second album, Moments in Motion, with the twelve-track record set to arrive on 27th October 2026 via Trew Music. Fans can now pre-save the album ahead of its release.
‘Moments in Motion’ sees The Now take a significant step forward from their 2024 debut album, Too Hot To Handle. While their first record was rooted in a more traditional rock formula, the new album embraces a more dance-driven sound, with groove, melody and space playing a much bigger role.
The album’s five already-released singles offer a taste of its broad emotional range.
‘Wild Curse’ tells the story of a romance seemingly guided by a guardian angel, with the single’s award-winning music video taking home Best Cinematography at the 2025 Europe Music Video Awards. The track also received A-list support from BBC Radio Wales and has featured across BBC’s Match of the Day coverage.
Elsewhere, ‘Breathe’ is a deeply personal tribute from frontman Shane Callaghan, inspired by a late relative who gifted him his guitar. ‘Something Beautiful’ explores the possibility of finding hope and renewal after heartbreak, while ‘Infection’ looks at the individuality we are born with and the ways life can attempt to reshape it.
The band’s most recent single, ‘Drug’, takes a darker turn, exploring the intoxicating and destructive nature of a toxic relationship through imagery of addiction, craving and withdrawal.
Together, the singles provide a glimpse into an album that moves between love, loss, obsession, identity and self-discovery, while maintaining the band’s increasingly distinctive rhythmic sound.
Moments in Motion is released 27th October 2026 via Trew Music.
