Divergent ‘Rev It Up’ With New Music Video

Divergent‘s latest single, ‘Rev It Up’, sees the band take their music from a hopeful promise to a full-throttle experience.

Rock and roll and racing fast cars complement each other like few things in life. With their thunderous, adrenaline pumping vibes, and a sound that’s fraught with danger, both entice their participants to take part in thrilling behaviour. With Divergent’s ‘Rev It Up’, you can combine the two – take a late-night joyride with the windows down all the way, the pedal pressed hard to the floor – and the stereo blasting, turned all the way up to 11. ‘Rev it Up’ is an anthem that fully captures the staying power of good old-fashioned rock and roll.

With its wailing guitars, commanding drums, and gritty vocals, ‘Rev It Up’ fully captures the restless attitude of a rocker who knows they’ve only “got one life”, so they “need to live it fast”. There’s a sense of constant motion, with the riffs emulating the world where there’s no such thing as stopping, and the three-word refrain – “rev it up” – brings with it the feeling of an engine roaring into life.

The music video for ‘Rev It Up’ sees Mike hopping onto his Ultra Limited Harley, while James gets behind of the wheel of his classic car, with its ‘LESPAUL’ plate, showing that Divergent’s rocker lifestyle extends far beyond the stage, into everything they do. This new video, created with the help of HIP Video Productions shows Divergent happily in the driver’s seat of every rocker’s fantasy, a trio of rockers in their absolute element, tearing down the highway, bound for Mexico. It’s a thrilling addition to the star-filled rock and roll pantheon of greats.
