Milky Chance Remind Us That It’s All Going To Be Good With ‘Camouflage’

Milky Chance never miss with their playful, offbeat, and always deeply human music. Their latest release, ‘Camouflage’, sees the duo, who first met when they were at school, take a magnifying glass to the intricacies of life and explore it in intimate detail.

With every release, Milky Chance takes a new opportunity to win the world over with their keen wit and sharp emotional depth. Their grooves are wickedly compelling, rendering the listener unable to resist bobbing along, getting up to dance, or even just to have a smile spread over their face.

Back in September the pair surprised fans with ‘Trip Tape III’, the latest in their mixtape series, which has become a firm favourite. ‘Camouflage’, from that release, harks back to their very earliest days, with its tropical vibes and mellow, introspective undercurrent.

Speaking of the track, Milky Chance said,

“Camouflage captures that strange in-between moment after a breakup – when the feelings are still there, but you’re starting to find your way forward. It’s not sad, it’s not angry…more like: this is how I’m handling it right now. And there’s a bit of humour in that”.

The music video for ‘Camouflage’ sees Milky Chance gives listeners on a one way ticket to a sun-soaked destination, where they will find themselves suspended in time, while being fully drenched in bright colours, lulled by salty, summertime breezes. Rehbein and Dausch wander through the streets and over the sands of a tropical location, while the beat retains its steady pulse, humming ever so slightly below the surface. ‘Camouflage’ reminds us that no matter how we feel, no matter how much we might feel like we and our world is falling apart, we should never feel sorry about it, and at the end of the day, “it’s all good”.
