Francesca Fuentes, who also goes by her childhood nickname, Chess, takes her real-life experiences and relationships and transforms them with into organic pop-rock-inspired tracks, which effortlessly capture the elements of the human experience. This is no less evident in Francesca’s latest single, ‘I Just Wanna Be Your Lover Again’.
A native of the Jersey Shore, where she was born and raised, Francesca started playing guitar and writing music at the age of just 12, and from 18 she started her musical journey properly, when studying at Monmouth University. where she found a musical community that matched her vibe. This led to a career in music and her debut music video, for ‘Rock With Me’ in 2019, winning Best Film at the 2019 Lovesick Film Festival in Jersey City.
The ups come with some downs however, and in 2021 she was left with her debut album unfinished, due to a personal and professional split with her producer. This resulted in a deep creative and spiritual void, but, undaunted, and inspired by the likes of Taylor Swift, while encouraged by mentor Mike Flannery, Francesca poured her heartbreak and deep feelings into cathartic projects, coming out the other side with a far more refined and authentic pop sound.
Francesca, now aged 26, is taking a deep dive into her artistry, and is pushing back the creative boundaries while presenting her soul in all its glory. With a renewed voice, and a brand new, stripped back album set for release, Francesca Fuentes is ready to take on the world.
