Growing up in Boynton Beach, Florida, Micah Lee has been motivated by his deep faith and sincere trust in the blessings and power of God his entire life. The son of Deacon Arthur L. Lee, Micah was encouraged to always be the very best at whatever he put his mind to. His life took a powerful turn in 2005, when his car hydroplaned on a slippery Florida road, plummeting into a canal where he only narrowly managed to escape. Doctors initially told him they’d have to amputate both his legs, but they were able to save them; the risk was that he may never be able to walk again. However, despite the frustration and feeling of being alone in his predicament, Micah Lee found healing through his determination, and, following an arduous year in a wheelchair, he rose up and ran around his Church – stunning both the congregation and his medical team alike.
Now, almost 20 years later, Micah Lee has run marathons, performed at award shows, and so much more. Empowered by God’s strength and grace, and inspired, not just by his own recovery, but also by his father’s unwavering tenacity in fighting prostate cancer for eighteen years, he encourages audiences from all walks of life to start their journey now, because there may be no tomorrow.
