‘Exactly My Vibe’ Is An Anthem Of Love And Connection – An Inspiring Afrobeat Release From Kuda-Kwashé

Originally from Zimbabwe, but now based in the UK, Kuda-Kwashé’s music is characterised by soulful sounds, while his lyrics focus on deeply personal experiences. His latest release, ‘Exactly My Vibe’, is out now, and is available to stream and download here.

Inspired by a moment at Hillside Shisha Lounge, in Guildford, England, ‘Exactly My Vibe’ by Kuda-Kwashé fully captures the connection he experienced, meeting a woman who shared the same love for old-school R&B music. The electricity between them was palpable, and became the basis for the track, which speaks of that vibe you feel when meeting a kindred spirit.

While the inspiration occurred in England, Kuda-Kwashé brings his Zimbabwean roots into the track, with some of the lyrics delivered in the Shona language, thus ensuring its reach transcends national boundaries.

Recorded at Surrey Studios, Kuda was able to bring ‘Exactly My Vibe’ to life with the help of his long-time main producer and collaborator, Jack V. Speaking of the song production process, Kuda says he envisions the direction of the song, and Jack V expertly brings that vision to life, ensuring it follows the perfect creative path. ‘Exactly My Vibe’ is a great follow-up to Kuda’s previous release, ‘Ms Cafe’, which was released back in June.

Kuda-Kwashé started writing music when he was 13 years old, moving on to producing and experimenting with instrumentals, recording and performing, at 15. He started releasing and distributing his music in 2019, alongside videos directed by QU4TRO ENT, leading to being featured on BBC Introducing in 2020.While he has performed several live shows and recorded numerous songs, he began releasing and distributing his material on all platforms in 2019. This is accompanied by visuals and videos directed by QU4TRO ENT. Since then, he has been featured on BBC Introducing in August 2020.

Kuda-Kwashé’s released his debut album, ‘Casanova’s Comicbook’, in 2021, and his upcoming album, ‘Sunshine City Spirit’, will feature industry legends, such as Ne-Yo.

Outside of music, Kuda-Kwashé is a mental health nurse, and uses music as a therapeutic tool with his patients. Additionally, his faith has a pivotal role in his life and music, and he sees every song he writes and releases as an opportunity to bring hope and inspiration to others.
