‘Gone’ is the latest single from Athens Georgia group, Heart Of Pine, and they’ve accompanied it with a music video, recorded at the Ear Bonez Sessions, at the Ear Bonez Studio, just outside of Athens.
The track is from Heart Of Pine’s new album, ‘Southern Soul Revival’, and sees the band performing in an intimate studio set, similar in style to NPR’s “Tiny Desk” series.
A collaborative series between Ear Bonez Studio and songwriters, Ear Bonez Sessions see artists sing and perform their own work, resulting in a unique, stripped-back, and authentic sound.
Steven Bagwell is seated singing and playing electric guitar, alongside Travis Richardson is on acoustic guitar out front, while standing behind him, Boone Hood plays bass, Jesse Fountain is on keyboards, and Todd Headley pulls it all together with drums and percussion.
‘Gone’ is laid back and emotive, in Heart Of Pine’s signature Southedelic style, drawly and chillled. The Ear Bones Studio feels like the perfect location for the session; while cramped (we did say it was like a Tiny Desk session), the group don’t seem too be at all put off by this, but rather, the restrictive environment seems to assist with their performance.
‘Southern Soul Revival’ is out now, and you can get it on Bandcamp here. Check out the video for ‘Gone’ below, and find out more about Heart Of Pine and their music online on their official website, Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
