Scottish Alt Artist Amy Aytchi Releases Poignant New Single, ‘Full Moon Baby’

‘Full Moon Baby’ is the new single from the enchanting Scottish alternative artist, Amy Aytchi. Released on July 21, the track is a melancholic pop song reflective of the artist’s fascination with the moon.

‘Full Moon Baby’ is available to stream and download here.

Amy drew her inspiration for ‘Full Moon Baby’ from dream pop’s warm soundscapes, as well as the work of evocative artists such as Victor Karlovich, and his creation, ‘Sirens By The Sea’. Amy’s ethereal, mystical vocals work well with the light touch of the instrumentals, and the lyrics are symbolic of the moon’s glow over the centuries in contrast with the vagaries of human relationships; in particular the exploration of the bisexual experience.

Amy recorded and produced ‘Full Moon Baby’ in the corner of her living room, reflecting her true independence as an artist, and showcasing her deeply personal approach to her music.

Amy Aytchi, from Blairgowrie, Scotland, turned to making music at a young age, as both an escape from challenging circumstances at home, as well as self-expression. Nowadays she is the epitome of the independent artist: playing, writing, recording, and mastering her music alone, while taking her inspiration from the likes of rock icons, post-grunge aesthetics, and poetic lyricism.

Amy channels her experiences into her music, crafting evocative lyrics which explore themes of sexuality, abuse, femininity, and neurodivergence.
