Sally Crosby Returns With The Intimate, Soulful, And Heartfelt Single, ‘Tough’

Serving as a testimony to the introspection of her writing style, Sally Crosby takes inspiration for her new single, ‘Tough’, from her most authentic thoughts, feelings, and events.

A solo project in every possible way – Crosby not only wrote and recorded the track, but also did the single artwork – ‘Tough’ is a genuine blend of integrity and vulnerability, with listeners given the privilege of being attuned to Crosby’s most personal thoughts and emotions.

The song came to Crosby quickly, as she sings in the lyrics, “didn’t even take me long”, giving a further look into her thought processes. Her rich and wistful vocals, accompanied on acoustic guitar, are themselves able to convey the emotions she wants to express, and listeners are taken on a very relatable journey.

Sally Crosby, from rural Mid Wales, has a background in classical piano, violin, and clarinet, and started on her musical journey at an early age. She studied Music and Creative Writing at university, where she played with folk-rock band, The Rambling Pilgrims, before embarking on her solo career in 2013.

‘Tough’ is out now, and is available to stream and download here. You can find out more about Sally Crosby and her music online on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Bandcamp.
