‘Tis The Season For The Púcas And Their Debut Single, ‘Christmas In Galway’

Released on December 4, ‘Christmas In Galway’ is the debut single from Irish duo, The Púcas. Comprising Fergal O’Hanlon and Adam O’Shea, ‘Christmas In Galway’ is a delightful festive track that is jam-packed with nostalgia, togetherness, and Irish culture and folk traditions.

With gorgeous harmonies and chants, and traditional Irish instruments such as the tin whistle, the musical chemistry between Fergal and Adam is evident from the very opening note. While Fergal is from Galway, Adam is from the other side of the country, County Waterford, but the pair are nonetheless united in their traditions, not the least the name of their duo, The Púcas, which derives from the old Irish word púca, meaning spirit, or ghost, and is akin to the mischievous English sprite, Puck. Fergal and Adam find joy in experimenting with a range of musical genres, and their resulting sound is a glorious fusion that audiences love. ‘Christmas In Galway’ is a perfect introduction to the duo, a memorable song that will resonate with all listeners and remain long in the memory.
